'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' is in its final season? Khloe tweets 'everything has to end at some point'

The show is now being run by Kim and Khloe, simply because others have too much on their plate.

'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' is in its Season 17 and it has had a good run. But the show has begun to lose its sheen as cast members continue to make themselves unavailable for regular, incessant filming. But, it's not their fault. It's been nearly two decades, the storylines have been exhausted, and all the exciting things that could have happened to the family has happened. Now, most cast members seem to have gone separate ways, living their lives off-camera.

Adding fuel to fire was Khloe's tweet, in which she obliquely hinted that the TV show could go off-air. "Sad but everything has to end at some point," she responded to a user who was finding it hard to fathom that 'KUWTK' will be over someday. Even though this doesn't confirm anything, at the end of the latest episode, the family gathered to discuss how they'd go about handling the show. Kim and Khloe wanted clarity from everyone - the production unit, Kris, Kourtney, the show's manager. They wanted to take hard calls on whether they should be drawing the curtains on a few cast members or the whole show. Quite the challenge!

'KUWTK' has been a successful TV show and has elevated the reality TV scene. For an iconic show to go off-air will have repercussions. Even though the cast members have made millions off of it, the show is still very much a part of their identity and to lose something like that will have consequences sooner or later.

Kim and Khloe are tired of having to fill in for the rest of the members, which also led to a few disagreements between the sisters and mother. While the two say they'd like more involvement from Kourtney and Kris, the latter said they don't every part of their lives to be sold as content.

"Love my mom so much! But I was speaking to my manager and my co-worker. Kim and I are exhausted from picking up the slack and working overtime since they won’t film #KUWTK,'' Khloe expressed on Twitter.

Meanwhile, viewers have started to get a lazy vibe from the show and they feel the makers should pull the plug on it considering there are just two people running the show and it isn't interesting anymore.

Here's what they had to say:

''#KUWTK it was a good show back when there was like 10 of them all together , all the time . It’s boring and dumb AF now . They all should want to move on and go live their lives in private . Everyone is gone anyway but 3 people . It’s time to end it.''

''I love the show. I also work with my family in a very different situation. However if one of us isn’t as involved as we should be it causes a lot of tension. I hate to say it but maybe it’s time to end the show. #KUWTK''

"Sometimes you need a break from family. It may be time to end the show. I’d much rather keep up with Kim and Khloe.#KUWTK"
