LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Beloved YouTube star Keenan Cahill died at only 27 years old after battling a lifelong illness. With the help of his charming personality, Cahill attracted the attention of some of the biggest pop stars in the industry through his lip-sync and dance moves. Katy Perry, David Guetta, Tyra Banks, and Justin Bieber lauded him for his videos and was even joined in a video by 50 Cent.

Cahill and 50 Cent rapped along to Jeremih and 50 cent's 2010 smash 'Down on Me' in the YouTuber's bedroom. His videos racked up more than 500 million views. The feel-good star was well known for his love for music and later became a music producer after earning a bachelor's degree in audio engineering. Cahill suffered from Maroteaux-Lamy syndrome, a disease that deteriorates the conditions of the organs. He had open heart surgery on December 15 according to TMZ. He was on life support after he faced complications related to his treatment. He asked his fans for well-wishes and posted updates about the upcoming surgery on his Twitter page. "One week till open heart surgery. Wish me luck. Love ya'll," one picture said, according to The Sun. One fan responded, "Praying for you, keenan!" "Goodspeed! Much love and best wishes," another commented. 



 



 



 

Several celebrities and fans paid tribute to Cahill after his tragic demise. Damian Irvine tweeted, "Vale Keenan Cahill A precociously talented & positive young man who pioneered in social media content & legitimately paved the way for the current superstars. Keenan stepped in & volunteered to help @cronullasharks when the club needed it the most. His help was invaluable." DJ Pauly D tweeted, "Rip Keenan Thank You for always making the world smile @KeenanCahill." 



 



 

"Rest in love, #KeenanCahill" wrote Perez Hilton. Just Juice wrote, "Whaaat Nooooo!!!!!!!!! Ah wtf this positive influence Keenan Cahill immortalized forever bro. Smh. Regardless 27 is too young.
