LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Wedding bells are chiming as several royals are set to tie the knot this year. While this year was of high-profile engagements, the next year would be of big fat weddings. From Princess Diana’s niece Lady Amelia to Princess Alexandra of Luxembourg, here’s a complete list of royal weddings that are around the corner. 

The year 2023 would see royals all over the world getting married. So far, five weddings have been confirmed from the royal families of UK, Luxembourg, Jordan, and Bavaria. Further, the date is set for the marriage of Princess Alexandra of Luxembourg, with the civil wedding on April 22, 2023 and the religious wedding on April 29. The dates of the other royal weddings are yet to be announced.

Lady Amelia

Daughter of Earl Spencer, Lady Amelia is all set to marry her beau, Greg Mallett. They met each other while they were studying at the University of Cape Town. The wedding will take place in March 2023, as indicated by Mallett in an Instagram post.

"I did a thing for you. 4 months until I marry the love of my life!" wrote Mallet.



 

Mallett proposed Lady Amelia on July 22, 2020 at the exclusive Clouds & Wine Guest Estate in Stellenbosch. He shared a glimpse of the romantic proposal on Instagram and wrote, "So this was the best day of my life. 22nd of July 2020, I asked the love of my life to spend the rest of her life with me and she said YES. Couldn’t be happier and I love you with all my heart."



 

Princess Alexandra of Luxembourg

On Thursday this week, the Grand Ducal Court of Luxembourg announced that Princess Alexandra, 31 is all set to marry her beau Nicolas Bagory in April 2023.

"The civil wedding will take place on April 22, 2023, at the Town Hall of the City of Luxembourg. The religious wedding will be celebrated on April 29, 2023, in the Saint Trophyme church in Bormes-les-Mimosas," the court said in a statement. "The two families join in the happiness of the engaged couple by surrounding them with their affection."

Alexandra is the only daughter of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa and is sixth in line to the throne. Her engagement was announced on November 7.



 

Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan

Queen Rania and King Abdullah II of Jordan’s eldest child, Crown Prince Hussein, 28 is getting married to a businessman’s daughter, Rajwa Al-Saif, 28. The engagement took place on August 17 in Riyadh.



 

Queen Rania took to her personal Instagram account and congratulated the couple. The Queen wrote, "I didn’t think it was possible to hold so much joy in my heart! Congratulations to my eldest Prince Hussein and his beautiful bride-to-be, Rajwa.”



 

The officials are yet to confirm the date of the ceremony.

Princess Iman of Jordan

The Jordanian royals have more than one wedding to plan as Crown Prince Hussein’s younger sister Princess Iman, 25 also got engaged this year. The Crown Prince congratulated his sister through an Instagram post. He wrote, "Warmest congratulations to my dear sister Iman and to her fiancé Jameel on their engagement. I wish you a lifetime of happiness together".



 

Prince Ludwig of Bavaria

The 40-year-old bachelor is finally off the market. The royal announced his engagement to Oxford PhD scholar Sophie-Alexandra Evekink, 32, this August. Sophie was born in Singapore to a Dutch-Canadian family. Prince Ludwig is the great-great-grandson of the last King of Bavaria. 

Speaking to German Newspaper Bild, Prince Luitpold, Ludwig's father, said, "Ludwig made a good choice. My future daughter-in-law is a very intelligent and educated woman."
