Katy Perry promotes new shoe line as fans demand her ouster from 'American Idol'

Katy Perry appears to be promoting a career away from 'American Idol' and recently sang at King Charles III's coronation

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Katy Perry promoted her new line of shoe collection after 'American Idol' fans criticized her judging skills. The 'Fireworks' singer displayed some fresh designs on Instagram on May 16.

Katy published images of her brand-new pink and black leather mules with twist detailing. They also come in green print, a striking gold color, and a pink floral print. The 'Idol' judge captioned the photos, referencing the heels' style, "Actually, DO get it twisted!

Did Katy Perry talk over Lionel Richie?

In response to criticism of her 'American Idol' judging abilities, Katy, who sang at the coronation performance last weekend, has been concentrating on promoting her clothing business. Fans demanded that ABC officials fire her from the show after she received backlash for how she treated the participants.

Katy was accused of acting impolitely towards participant We Ani earlier in the season after she failed to provide We any criticism of her performance. When Katy advanced to the top 12, many accused her of being "unprofessional" and "doing We dirty" due to her shocked expression. She was charged with "talking over" and "leaving out" fellow judge Lionel Richie last month.

Katy accused of mom-shaming

During her audition for this year's 'American Idol', a competitor blasted judge Katy Perry for making "hurtful" and "embarrassing" remarks to her. She further claimed that the star "mom-shamed" her.

Sara Beth Liebe, a participant on a recent edition of 'Idol', auditioned, and the judges found it hard to believe she was just 25. Luke Bryan remarked, "You look 16." "15," Katy murmured.

Sara Beth began to speak saying, ‘I have three kids, so that’s like -”. As she turned around and stood up from her chair, Katy put her hands on the table by Luke and began to fan herself.

"Are you OK, Katy?" he enquired. The 38-year-old shook her head and went back to her seat. "Nope," she said. Sara Beth laughed and said, "If Katy lays on the table, I think I'm going to pass out." Lionel Richie questioned, "Three kids?" Sara Beth, however, was outraged by Katy's remark.

The singer said, "Honey, you've been laying on the table too much." The participant appeared to be okay with Luke's laughter at the time, but she later addressed it on her TikTok page.
