Kanye West for the third time did not drop his highly anticipated album ‘Donda’ leaving his fans with breadcrumbs from the listening party at Soldier Field in Chicago on Thursday, August 26. The controversial Marilyn Manson-DaBaby assisted listening event saw a lot of changes as social media users expressed their frustration over the same.

It was also reported that ‘Donda’ will probably clash with Drake’s much-awaited album ‘Certified Lover Boy’ also stylized as ‘CLB’ on September 3 after the latter interrupted a SportsCenter broadcast on Friday, August 27 morning. However, it looks like Kanye’s fans might get the album first and the clash between the two hip-hop heavyweights might be averted. The news comes after Kanye’s manager Bu Thiam dropped a hint that the 44-year-old rapper’s album has been submitted to the streaming services.

Why Kanye West’s ‘Donda’ not clashing with Drake’s ‘CLB’ anymore?

Bu Thiam dropped a major hint on one of his Instagram stories by simply writing “Delivered.” A Twitter announcement by HITS Daily Double almost at the same time further confirmed that Kanye West’s ‘Donda’ has been submitted to the streaming services. On their website, the publication simply shared a note which revealed that ‘Donda’ was being delivered to DSPs and it should be out either later today or tomorrow morning referring to August 27 and August 28 respectively. “On 8/26 the album’s release date was changed to 9/3. But the next day, Drake announced the same date for his own long-awaited album, Certified Lover Boy (OVO/Republic). Sources claim that Donda is currently being delivered to DSPs and streaming partners for release "either later today or tomorrow morning.”

For the unversed, the multiple Grammy-winning hip-hop artist had earlier too submitted the album to streaming services only to pull it back later. Now, his latest stunt comes after Drake dropped a hint about ‘CLB’ dropping on September 3 and it looks like Kanye is in no mood for a face-off next Friday. Drake’s album was first supposed to hit the Internet, but he decided to push it after he sustained a knee injury. The Toronto native had later announced that ‘CLB’ will be released before the end of the summer and therefore, September 3 now seems to be a suitable date.

‘Another 4-week wait is coming’, claims Twitter

Social media users, who have been keeping a sharp eye on the leading streaming platforms, are going increasingly impatient and therefore, when the new update for ‘Donda’ arrived, they took the news with a pinch of salt. One user stated, “Kanye really hates drake huh.” Whereas, another added, “He moving his release date up cause he’s scared.” The next one posted, “Won’t believe it until I’ve listened to off the grid 7 times.”

One user tweeted, “It means it’s dropping Friday to compete with CLB. this fool turned the album in as soon as drake announced his date.” And, another irritated fan shared, “Please Kanye I can't take this edging anymore.” One person asserted, “Usually I respect his decisions but if he keeps Jay and Cudi off I will be pissed for the rest of my life.” Another said, “That means he’s buying more time…. Another 4-week wait is coming.” While, one fan concluded, “I swear this has been said after every listening party.”
