Loona's Chuu opens personal Instagram account, fans wonder if she's leaving girl group
SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: The tenth member of girl group Loona, Chuu, began her solo career in 2017 while still being a part of the K-pop act. While her solo career took off with flying colors, relations with the company, Blockberry Creative, strained. On top of that, her recent social media activity has made fans speculate if the singer is completely separating from the band. Chuu launched her personal Instagram account on September 28, 2022. Just three hours later, the K-pop idol made a post which has received 3,734 comments at the time of writing. Currently, fans are desperately trying to reason with her actions.
After being absent from the Loona world tour and Seoul concerts as Chuu's prime focus was directed on her solo career, many fans were seen upset with the record label Blockberry Creative. However, the K-pop idol came forward and cleared things out, "I feel like my words are getting twisted, so I'm going to say something about this. I'm not saying that I can attend all the schedules just because they're released. The company is the one to decide, so they need to release a notice, then we can decide whether I can participate or not. So even if we get an alarm about the schedule, I don't know whether I can participate or not."

Fans speculate the reason behind a personal social media account
A fan of Loona's Chuu tweeted, "Its nice to see chuu opening an ig acc and im excited to see her stories, posts and stuff but it does make me worry a lot trying to not overthink but i just cant stop". Another said, "Chuu creating ig so she can update us about her gigs because bbc is now ignoring her. ever since the world tour began, we don't have any updates about chuu. no pictures of her is uploaded in loona's account". Another fan posted, "The pfp being taken together by hyunvi and the first thing u think of is chuu leaving loona now if every member makes an individual ig too im gonna slap the fuck out of u i promise u that"

Is Chuu leaving Loona?
The news of Chuu opening her personal Instagram is trending all over Twitter for all the wrong reasons. Fans suspect that Chuu will leave the band now that she has "gone above and beyond the recognition threshold". Many fans were joyful about the development and are hoping for a solo project to come out as soon as possible. However, the singer released a statement and discarded the rumors, "I pondered this for 6 months. Been putting it off for many reasons I'm honestly not confident I can salvage pretty photos hahagh; I'm worried Ever since I was allowed to make an ID, I made one and took suggestions from here and there and staked out the ID and I'm just now revealing it".
