'Justice League' Snyder Cut may never be released but the director could still end up helming a reboot

In the years since the release of 'Justice League', fans have wanted one thing and one thing alone from the DC Extended Universe: the release of the movie's Snyder Cut.

Three years later, that is no closer to happening but with all the momentum built up behind the #SnyderCut movement, there's a pretty good chance director Zack Snyder might get a chance to remake the movie at some point in the future.

In case you're wondering, yes, Zack Snyder is credited as one of the directors on the movie alongside Joss Whedon, who made the blockbuster superhero movie 'Avengers'.

However, it wasn't exactly a collaboration between the two, hence the whole debate about Snyder's version of the movie vs the final cut that arrived in theaters.

Snyder stepped down as director on the project during the post-production phase after the death of his daughter Autumn Snyder in 2017, bringing Whedon in to finish off editing on the movie. But as they say, too many cooks spoil the broth and 'Justice League' is a case in point.

The final version of the movie that fans got to watch was a mess, constantly switching between a lighter and darker narrative tone and never really figuring out what sort of movie it wanted to be.

Worst of all, a lot of the backstory that Snyder intended to bring in was left on the floor of the cutting room and that led to the villain being an underdeveloped character whom no one could possibly take seriously.

Despite the mounting demands from fans to see what Snyder had in mind for the movie, Warner Bros. made no indication that they plan on bowing to the demands of the masses. But that said, it's pretty much inevitable that DC will attempt to make another 'Justice League' film at some point in the future, either a total remake or a sequel.

In either case, Snyder is bound to be number one on the list of filmmakers they would consider to helm the project. If nothing else, the sheer support of the fans should be a clear indication that this is the way to go.

Whether the movie would be a success or not, we can't say but at least we'd finally get the Snyder Cut or a version of it at the very least. Do you think Zach Snyder should remake the 'Justice League'? Or would you rather see the Snyder Cut released? Let us know in the comments.
