'The Real Housewife of New York City' star Jules Wainstein has finally divorced her ex, Michael Wainstein. After four long years of fight, including a recent arrest for a violent altercation between the duo and Jules' subsequent restraining order, the 39-year-old has ended her marriage, People reported. Although Jules' attorney, Allen Mayefsky, did not immediately respond to the publication, Morghan Richardson, an attorney for Michael, told People that "Michael is ecstatic to have this long process finished, it took 4 years and he's looking forward to moving on,” in a statement on Tuesday, October 20.

There has been plenty of drama between the former couple of late. In June, the former television personality was "begging" the court to "modify" the existing order barring her from seeing son Jagger, 9, and daughter Rio, 7, according to The Sun on Friday. Earlier in 2020, Jules was arrested in Florida and booked on a charge of battery after allegedly attacking Michael in front of their children. Michael, a real estate investor, had Jules added to his original no-contact order following their dispute. On February 28, her children were removed from her custody, before Jules claimed that a New York City judge awarded her sole custody in early March. She now wants the same decision to be ordered by the courts in the southern state. Wainstein has a hearing on the matter later in October, a report said.

People reported that Jules and Michael got into a verbal dispute during a custody exchange in a parking lot. Jules allegedly approached with a baseball bat towards Michael’s car and damaged the back of the vehicle. She also allegedly licked his car window and punched Michael in the face. Jules, who previously pleaded not guilty to the battery charge, said she had been staying in Florida for the rest of her divorce proceedings. "Until my divorce is over, I’m temporarily living in Boca at my parents," she told BravoTV.com in 2019. "We’ll be there until things settle, and then hopefully we’ll move back soon."

Jules joined 'The Real Housewives of New York City' in its eighth season, but left the franchise after a single season to focus on her children amid her divorce. The former couple are still hashing out child custody issues, according to Page Six.
