What is ‘Judge Steve Harvey’ all about?

'Judge Steve Harvey' is an unscripted comedy show featuring real-life people with real-life conflicts who will present their case in his courtroom, ranging from family disputes, unpaid bets, sour friendships and everything in between. With the help of Nancy, his trusted bailiff by trade, Steve plays by his own rules, basing his courtroom on his own life experiences and some good old common sense.

Who stars on 'Judge Steve Harvey'?

As the show's title suggests, Steve Harvey is the star of the show. Born in West Virginia, Steve was raised in Ohio as the youngest of five children. He began his career doing stand-up comedy in the mid-1980s. His success as a stand-up comedian eventually led to a long stint as host of 'It's Showtime at the Apollo', as well as various entertainment roles including acting, hosting, writing and producing. Today, he is an Emmy Award-winning entertainer, radio personality, motivational speaker, New York Times bestselling author, businessman and philanthropist.

'Judge Steve Harvey' is produced by Den of Thieves in association with Walt Disney Television's newly formed alternative unit. Steve Harvey, Brandon Williams, and Den of Thieves' Jesse Ignjatovic, Evan Prager and Jared Morell serve as executive producers, with Myeshia Mizuno as showrunner and executive producer. "Steve Harvey is completely in his element in this show, and that's why we love working with him, and fans love watching him," said Rob Mills, executive vice president, Unscripted and Alternative Entertainment, Walt Disney Television. "His wit and charm lend itself perfectly for this hilarious courtroom series that features some of the most outrageous cases ever seen on television."
