After a long wait, since the season premiered since March earlier this year, John Malkovich has finally made his appearance on Showtime's 'Billions'. The Emmy winning and multiple times Oscar nominee made his debut in the show's third season on Sunday as Russian billionaire Grigor Andolov.

In 'Icebreaker,' the most recent episode of the show, a central character to the plot, Robert "Bobby" Axelrod played by Damian Lewis goes on to find the money that he needed for his venture from the shadiest and potentially very dangerous source - Grigor Andolov. While Taylor, portrayed by Asia Date Dillon is still unconvinced by Axe's decision, Axe seems pretty fine with it and goes ahead with it anyway. Asia's character is another addition to the series regular list this season. The show is also credited to be the first American TV series to have a gender non-binary character in a meaty role.

It remains to be seen how lethal Grigor will prove to be but with his character giving off major 'Godfather' vibes already, it shouldn't be hard to guess. Malkovich's character will be reappearing in the final few episodes of the show again. A little trivia - Grigor translates into "on the watch" in Russian.

Created by Brian Koppelman, David Levien, and Andrew Ross Sorkin, the show also stars starring Paul Giamatti, Maggie Siff, Malin Akerman, Toby Leonard Moore, David Costabile, Condola Rashad, Asia Kate Dillon and Jeffrey DeMunn. The show, that first made its debut on Showtime in January 2016 is a story based on the financial crimes and the activism of an ex-US attorney of southern New York, prosecutor Preet Bharara. If you're a fan of courtroom dramas with a generous dose of crime, this show should be at the top of your watchlist.

The show that is in its ninth episode in the latest season has already bagged a renewal for a fourth season.
