'Modern Family' star Ed O'Neill tells Jimmy Kimmel he won't contact show's cast, hasn't saved their numbers
Tonight's episode of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' featured all the adult members of the hit series 'Modern Family' - Ty Burrell, Julie Bowen, Ed O'Neill, Sofia Vergara, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet. They had joined in with the host of the talk show Jimmy Kimmel and they all congregated one last time to go over every remarkable memory from the past 11 years.
The episode made a big reveal about Jimmy being the director of a documentary that was shot on the sets of 'Modern Family' for a very long time. The flustered castmates were forcefully made to participate in the documentary and Kimmel was revealed to be constantly hovering over all of them with no regard for personal space. We don't want to get your hopes high here and reveal that the documentary bit was a part of a hilarious skit shot, especially for the late-night show. The final documentary, with Kimmel at the helm, was played for all the castmates on the sets and we urge you to go check out 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' to know their reactions. You wouldn't want to miss this one.
There were also quite a few reveals from the castmates, some were harsh too. For example, when Kimmel asked if the cast would still keep in touch now that the show is over, Ed quickly responded with a straight "no". He later clarified that they all are connected over a text chain but laid another burn right after when he said that he hasn't saved any of their numbers and has to rely on his instincts to guess who texts what. Ed also revealed he's technologically challenged and had someone who was helping him to stay connected during this video call.
Did you know Julie was in labor and was about to birth her twins - John and Gustav Phillips when she got a confirmation call from the showrunners that the show has been picked up by the network. She revealed on the show that she had shot for the pilot while pregnant with her twins and it was a well-timed call about the show being picked up right before she gave birth.
Who would've known that Ty and Julie did all of their stunts on the show without the need for professional stuntpeople to step in for them? Now we know and we will be going back to watch the show right from the beginning because what better way to make use of all the free time during this period of self-isolation?
'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' airs every night on ABC.
