MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: During the latest episode of his late-night show, Jimmy Kimmel humorously targeted Donald Trump Jr, the eldest child of former President Donald Trump, referring to him as the "fraudigal son."

This jest was in response to Trump Jr's attempt to interject humor while providing court testimony in the New York civil fraud trial.

Kimmel, renowned for his satirical humor, didn't restrain himself during his monologue and ridiculed Trump Jr's efforts to alleviate the court's serious atmosphere with jokes, implying that the circumstances were anything but amusing.

Donald Trump Jr, the Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization, took to the witness stand in a Manhattan courtroom on Wednesday, November 1, to defend himself in a $250 million civil fraud trial, and declared, "I did not," when questioned about his involvement in his father’s "statement of financial condition."

These are the documents that General Letitia James alleges were falsified by Trump from 2011 through 2017, inflating his net worth by billions each year, as per the New York Post.

He reportedly tried to crack a few jokes while denying any involvement in the preparation of the financial statements crucial to the case.

"The accountants worked on it, that’s what we pay them for," said Trump Jr, adding, "I was not involved in the compilation of this statement of financial condition."

He later mentioned that he had "no understanding" of accounting terminology and tried to push the blame on the family's accountants.

During his monologue, Jimmy Kimmel took a dig at Donald Trump Jr, saying, "The fraudigal son was being grilled as part of the $250 million case against their business."

The host also shared an awkward clip of the former POTUS' eldest son humorously remarking that he "should have worn makeup" while anxiously awaiting the start of the proceedings.

"Here's the thing about Don Jr," stated Kimmel, adding, "What he lacks in intelligence, he also lacks in charisma."

"And as with all cases involving the family, Trump DJ TJ was sworn in on an upside down Bible, he will finish his testimony tomorrow,  and then Eric will testify, and then Trump will claim he's never met either one of them," quipped Kimmel.
