Inspired by true events, 'Jamtara — Sabka Number Ayega' is the story of India's con center. Set in the dark underbelly of Jharkhand, the series revolves around the phishing scams that take place in the city of Jamtara.

Shedding light on the show, filmmaker Soumendra Padhi said, "The issue of phishing is so common and yet so underrepresented in the media. I've been to Jamtara and spoken to multiple people about how these scams are pulled off. The stories are so real and yet so unbelievable that I knew I had to share them with the world."

Release date

The eight-episodic series is all set to premiere on Netflix on January 10.

Plot

A 10-part series, 'Jamtara' centers around young, ambitious people who have the world before them. A news report about the scam catapults the village into the limelight, throwing a spanner in the works when, suddenly, everyone wants a chunk of the prize.
