All Time Low slams '97' allegations of sexual abuse against Jack Barakat; fans voice support

Jack Barakat from the pop-punk band 'All Time Low' has come under the scanner for sexually abusing underage girls. Several girls have opened up on the Internet leveling allegations over years about how he would make suggestive comments against them despite knowing they were minors. A video on TikTok, which has gone viral now, helped escalate the allegations further. The video sees a young woman reacting to a clip with the caption, "Me telling everyone about how a famous pop-punk band let me on their tour bus when I was 13 and people would tell me how nice it was of them." 

No other bandmate has been named in the matter except for Barakat, however, many allegations have mentioned that minors were allowed on the tour bus and no one did anything to stop it. The band has released a statement saying with "outright certainty that what is being said about us is completely and utterly false." This is not the first time where women have spoken out against Barakat online. Certain screenshots on Twitter, the authenticity of which we're yet to confirm, date back to 2017. In one of those tweets, a woman alleged she was 14 when Barakat told her that her boobs looked yummy despite the fact that she didn't look older than her age and wore nothing revealing. In related news, Michael Clifford of '5 Seconds of Summer' or 5SOS as the band is know as was canceled on the Internet in June 2020 over past homophobic and sexist tweets.

Jack Barakat has '97 allegations' of sexual abuse against him 

A Twitter user has claimed that she counted 97 posts including the ones on Tumblr where minor girls admitted in a boastful manner about Barakat complimenting their boobs. "There's a lot on tumblr and a lot of them are spun in a positive light like 'omg Jack complimented my boobs wow cool' when the poster was 14 at the time.. so not technically an allegation but it absolutely counts and belongs on the list." The same person followed it up with "I've counted 97 allegations against them. If 97 people aren't enough then I don't know what to tell you." 

Another Twitter user '@denimchicky' mentioned that the alleged victim who came forward with a graphic account of what transpired between her and Barakat - including allegations of the latter giving the minor girl hard drugs, alcohol, and then touching her - had her account taken down after fans of the band reported it. @denimchicky has posted screenshots of those deleted tweets which can be accessed below, or you can click here to read them.
