BTS J-Hope makes shocking entry into Billboard Hot 100 with 'More', fans say 'record setter'
It seems like the K-pop boy group BTS is now too powerful for the international music scene as it has become way easier for members of the boy group to break records. In recent times, fans stated how charting on Billboard's main songs chart - Billboard Hot 100 was becoming more and more difficult for BTS due to a change in their rules. According to the revised Billboard rules, songs that have a certain number of radio spins could only make it to the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
With BTS being a South Korean boy group with Korean songs, it is nearly impossible for the boy group to get the same number of radio spins as International English singles. Despite the revisions made to the rules, fans have not given up on streaming and now this constant effort from fans has yielded amazing results for rapper J-Hope. J-Hope made his official solo debut with 'More' on July 1. The track is a pre-release single from his upcoming album, 'Jack In The Box' and now, days ahead of his album release, J-Hope has made it to not one but two Billboard charts including their main songs chart - the 'Hot 100'.

J-Hope's unpredictable entry on Billboard Hot 100
On July 12, it was reported that J-Hope was the second BTS member and the second Korean soloist to enter the Billboard HOT 100 chart with two of his singles. Back in 2019, J-Hope entered the chart with his single, 'Chicken Noodle Soup' featuring Becky G. The single debuted on the chart at No. 81. Following that, BTS' Jungkook's solo single, 'Stay Alive' became the second BTS member and the second Korean soloist to debut on the Billboard chart. Recently, Jungkook re-entered the same chart with his collaborative single, 'Left and Right' with American singer, Charlie Puth. With J-Hope's solo single, 'More', the rapper is now the second BTS member and Korean soloist to have two of his songs entering the Hot 100 chart.
'More' the pre-release single from J-Hope's solo debut album entered the US Billboard's main singles chart Hot 100 at Number 82 within 12 days of its release. Not only that but the single also ranked at Number 2 on Billboard's Digital Song Sales chart making the success of J-Hope's single twofold. J-Hope's 'More' has also topped iTunes Top Songs charts in 64 countries while debuting at Number 9 on the Global Spotify chart and fans are extremely proud of the BTS rapper for tasting such success with his pre-release single. The album 'Jack In The Box' from J-Hope will have 10 tracks and will be released on July 15 at 1 pm KST (12 am ET).
