LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The third season of the popular Disney+ series 'The Mandalorian' will begin airing on our screens in just over a week. Despite the fact that the first episode of the third season has yet to air, the show's creator, Jon Favreau, has claimed that the script for Season 4 is "already written."

'The Mandalorian', starring Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin, and the adorable Grogu (often known as "Baby Yoda"), has become a cultural sensation. The first episode debuted on the Disney+ launch day in 2019, making it the first live-action Star Wars television series. What was initially an intimate depiction of a found-family dynamic is evolving into something much more stunning, with Lucasfilm intending to spin a number of other Disney+ TV shows out of it

'I was writing it during post-production'

Speaking to the French news program BFMTV INSIDE, showrunner Jon Favreau revealed he's already written 'The Mandalorian' season 4. He said, "Season 4? Yeah, I’ve written it already. We have to know where we are going to tell a fully formed story. So, we had mapped it out, Dave [Filoni] and I. And then slowly you just write each episode. So I was writing it during post-production, because all of it has to feel like a continuation and one full story."

The writing process for other upcoming 'Star Wars' Disney+ TV programs has become more challenging because there are now many more factors to take into account. This explains why Lucasfilm is making plans so far in advance; since everything in this period of the Star Wars narrative is connected, it needs to be meticulously planned out.

Favreau mentions, "[Dave is] doing Ahsoka, which I'm producing with him, but's the writer/showrunner on that. To understand what's happening on other shows, or even Skeleton Crew, all take place in the same Star Wars time period. There's a lot more things that we have to keep in mind and stuff we've built up from previous seasons of The Mandalorian as well."

What's happening in 'The Mandalorian' Season 3?

Pedro Pascal plays the title character in the third season of the American television series 'The Mandalorian', a bounty hunter who goes to Mandalore to atone for his past wrongdoings with his sidekick Grogu. It is a 'Star Wars' movie that takes place after 'Return of the Jedi'.

Season 3 of 'The Mandalorian' is all set to premiere on March 1, 2023.
