IT'S OVER! Kylie Minogue and Paul Solomons have called it quits on their five year relationship
MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA: Australian singer Kylie Minogue and her former British GQ executive boyfriend Paul Solomons have apparently called it quits! The ‘Can’t Get You Out of My Head’ singer and her English partner had been together for five years before their efforts to make the long-distance relationship work drove them apart. The singer has now moved back to her native Australia, while her now ex-boyfriend remains in London.
Daily Mail reports that the difference in their time zones and the general worries of a long-distance relationship had played a part in ending their multi-year romance. “Long distance isn’t easy for any couple… Kylie and Paul really tried to make things work but ultimately the time difference was a killer- Paul couldn’t exactly nip to Melbourne for a long weekend whenever things got strained,” an insider in the know had said. However, it seems as though the singer is taking this latest split in stride as she keeps her head held high. “Kylie initially wanted to keep the split quiet though as she really does not want the narrative to be ‘poor, unlucky-in-love-Kylie’s heartbreak’s again.’ She’s a powerful, hugely successful woman - and isn’t moping around, heartbroken,” said the source.

The insider also goes on to state the pair remain friends and that Minogue is now throwing herself into work as she has a world tour coming up soon. “But, for now, Kylie has a new album to promote, and a world tour to get cracking with - she’s hugely excited about starting this new chapter in her life.” Minogue seems to have removed all traces of her ex from her social media, but Solomons, whom she met in 2018, is yet to. While their distance has severed the relationship, it has to be noted that the pair had previously spent nine months away from each other during the COVID-19 lockdown. The singer had been quarantining in Australia, whereas her Welsh beau had been in London.
Minogue did open up about her relationship with the top executive last year in February. According to a report by The Sun, the 'In Your Eyes' singer had said, “I’m quite used to it. What is difficult is explaining it and I’m hovering around that right now because I don’t have a traditional set-up when it comes to my relationship.” She then went on to add that she does not have ‘the white-picket-fence life.’ “We are in a very good space and we cherish that right now…We use the term ‘fluid and pivoting,” she explained.
