Isaiah Rashad drops ‘Headshots (4r Da Locals)’, fans call it ‘timeless classic’
After teasing his fans for more than a year, Isaiah Rashad finally treated his listeners with a brand-new single called ‘Headshots (4r Da Locals)’ and the Internet just could not keep calm. The Tennessee native was trending all over Twitter, thanks to this new drop from his upcoming third album called’ The House is Burning.’
The 30-year-old rapper is best known for his singles like ‘Wat’s Wrong’, ‘Free Lunch’ and ‘Stuck in the Mud’ from his sophomore album, ‘The Sun’s Tirade’, which was released in 2016. Rashad is signed to the independent record label Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) which boats artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, and Schoolboy Q, along with SZA, Lance Skiiiwalker, Sir, Reason and Zacari. Speaking of new music, artists like Coldplay, Halsey and The Weeknd might soon drop their respective new projects.

‘This one is for 4R y’all’: Isaiah Rashad
Isaiah Rashad took to Twitter and Instagram accounts to share the new release with his fans. While sharing a snippet of the same, he first tweeted, “Go Stream My S**t RN #HeadShots (4r da locals).” He then later posted. “Thanks for continuously putting on for me in ya smoke outs, kick backs, hot boxes. this one is 4r yall.” Rashaad’s new single has been produced by Hollywood Cole and Henry Was and is released via his record label TDE. ‘Headshots’ is the second single from his upcoming album which is expected to release in June end. The acclaimed rapper had earlier dropped the track called ‘Lay Wit Ya’, which also featured Memphis MC Duke Deuce on another verse.
Speaking of lyrics, in the chorus of ‘Headshots’, Rashaad raps, “Okay, you caught me by surprise in my brand new whip, baby/ Peep me in the scope, if I’m gone, don’t trip, baby/ Bringin’ back the strong, up to bat, all hits, baby.” While in the verse, he goes a notch higher and spits, “Who want a shot, wanna die? (Yeah, yeah), Lemme know, I got two on the hip and knot, no diggity/ Zay, you smooth like a R&B song, How you keep them hoes off you, man? ‘A timeless classic’
Social media users did not waste their time at all to plug into Rashaad’s new single and they soon rushed to Twitter to share how timeless the song was. One user stated, “Finally got off work to listen to Zay’s new song and not surprised it was amazing, can’t wait for the new album been waiting since 2016.” Another posted, “@isaiahrashad as a fan I deserve nothing but thanks for dropping headshots, been waiting since the live. Songs been making me happy for a year already.”
The next one shared, “Thanks Isaiah Rashad for the vibes tonight, much needed.” One added, “Headshots by Isaiah Rashad is one of the most beautiful songs I’ve heard in my life”, meanwhile another noted, “#HeadShots by @isaiahrashad is giving me Cilvia Demo vibes like it’s 2014 again. I needed that.” Another chimed in and asserted, “@isaiahrashad thanks for finally dropping #headshots. this one is staying on rotation until further notice.” One posted, “Isaiah Rashad knocked it out of the park with Headshots.” Whereas, the other concluded, “MF came back and dropped a timeless classic.”
