Is Shakira in love again? Singer is moving to Miami for her mysterious 'new lover', claim reports
MIAMI, FLORIDA: Shakira has been in the news lately, especially after her much-talked-about breakup with the retired footballer, Gerard Pique. Since the pair’s split, a lot of things have been said and reported about them, and the latest is that the ‘Queen of Latin Music’ is apparently seeing someone in Miami.
The Daily Mail citing a Spanish media publication stated that the unidentified man is the reason why Shakira decided to move to the States. According to the Spanish news website OKDiario, the Columbian singer is in contact with a man in Miami for a few months. The mysterious person is said to be someone whom she met after parting ways with Pique.

It was not Antonio de la Rua
OKDiario did not give more details about the 46-year-old’s supposed new romance but clarified that the man was not her ex Antonio de la Rua, whom she was with before getting into a long-term relationship with Pique. Shakira and the 36-year-old Spanish footballer were together for over a decade and also welcomed two children together – Milan Pique Mebarak and Sasha Pique Mebarak.
It has been reported that following the breakup in May 2022, the ‘Waka Waka’ singer reached a child custody agreement with Pique and will soon call Miami her home. While boys will live with their famous mother, their father will spend the holiday season with them. Earlier, a journalist named Laura Fa reportedly said, “What we're being told today is that she's got a scheduled date to move there which would be April 1. If everything pans out she wants to go on that date.”
'Shakira's idea is to take advantage of the Spring Break'
Another media person, Lorena Vasquez, added, “This is the information we're receiving from the former couple's closest circle. The only obstacle would be the health of Shakira's father and it's been well-documented that his health is a little bit complicated at the moment. Shakira's idea is to take advantage of the Spring Break in the States to be able to travel to Miami with her sons so they could start their classes when the children there come back to class.”
'I'm very happy'
The recent news about Shakira surfaced as her former lover spoke out for the first time after their split. Addressing his silence for months after the breakup, Pique told El Pais, “Everyone has their responsibility to try to do what is best for their children. It is about protecting them. That is the job of all parents with children. That is what I am focused on and that is my job as a father.”
He also shared, “I keep doing what I want. The day I die, I will look back and hope I have always done what I wanted. I want to be faithful to myself. I'm not going to spend money cleaning up my image.” Pique further added, “The people that I love and care about are the ones who know me. The rest isn't important to me. I spend my energy on being with my loved ones and giving them what I have. I'm very happy. There have been changes in my life and I have known how to preserve happiness.”
