Referring to her break up from former husband Gerard Pique, she shared, "It's been unbelievable to feel the reaction from so many people. I think that people really connect with music when it's real and it's genuine, it comes from a real place. The thing with this song is that it has become like an anthem for so many women out there."
"I've had a very rough year after my separation and writing this song has been so important to me. It's been a healthy way to channel my emotions. I feel that after we put out this song, I not only felt like I had fans but a sisterhood of women who have been through the same things, who think the way I think, feel the way I feel, and had to put up with so much c***, the way I had to", the singer added.
Shakira looked sensational in black mesh bodysuit
Not only was the performance sensational, but the Colombian singer looked quite sensational in a pair of leather chaps while showing off her figure in a black mesh bodysuit. The bodysuit featured a cut-out underboob detail while a silver zip detail adorned the centre of her chap trousers. She went for a radiant palette of makeup while keeping her long, loose curls open.
The singer then went onto talk about the reference to the strawberry jam in a music video for her single Te Felicito, which was released in April 2022 and featured a clip of the head of her collaborator Rauw Alejandro inside an open fridge. Shakira knew that Gerard and their two kids didn't like strawberry jam, and so she suspected that someone else had been staying at their home when she found the jar empty after returning home. So, it was a dig towards her ex.
