LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'American Idol' Season 22 fans voiced their concern regarding Blake Proehl's recent performance, which left them feeling unsatisfied.

Many are now questioning his future on the show, feeling uncertain about his ability to progress further. They described his recent performance in Hawaii as "not so good," raising doubts about his potential to thrive in the competition.

Fans' disappointment stemmed from their high expectations for Blake, given his talent and potential, as well as the praises the young singer had earned in the last few episodes. However, his underwhelming performance left them questioning whether he could overcome the setback and deliver stronger performances in the future rounds of the competition.

"Blake sorry is my least favorite tonight & bummer before tonight I liked everyone!" said a user. "Honestly who is Blake? Never seen him before tonight and that was not good," wrote another fan. Others pointed out how he was a good singer, but made a wrong choice selecting the song. "blake i love you but that was not the right song choice."

Some fans predicted Blake's fate, expressing concerns that his future on the show was in jeopardy. "Well, all the performances were mostly SO GOOD tonight, it's going to be tough to see two go home next week (Blake is probably in trouble -- Kayko SHOULD be but probably won't be -- worried for Julia on performance, but vocally she WAS ONE OF THE BEST."

Others simply wanted him eliminated. "Blake’s elimination is long overdue… let’s be very real…"

Why did Blake Proehl leave football? 

In the preview of his audition, Blake revealed that doctors once doubted he would ever run again after a serious knee injury. Despite growing up in a football family, Blake faced a setback that put his NFL aspirations on hold. However, rather than succumbing to despair, Blake redirected his focus toward his passion for music.

He decided to pursue a full-time music career and took the bold step of auditioning for 'American Idol' Season 22, showcasing his determination to overcome obstacles and pursue his passion.

For the unversed, Blake comes from a family deeply rooted in football. His father, Ricky Proehl, enjoyed a successful 17-year career in the NFL. Additionally, Blake's brother, Austin Proehl, who previously played for the Buffalo Bills, is currently a member of the St Louis Battlehawks football team. 

Blake Proehl fortunate to have a grandmother by his side 

Blake expressed gratitude for his grandmother's unwavering support throughout his journey on American Idol. He credited her for encouraging him to audition and emphasized the significance of her presence in his life.

During his audition, Blake shared with the judges how much his grandmother's support meant to him, stating, "She's the reason why I have any confidence at all to be in this room." Katy Perry, however, was all praises for the singer's soulful track. "Listen — every grandma thinks that their grandchildren are great," she began. "But you're right! If you will allow us to be your coaches, you're gonna be Top 10," she said.
