LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Recently, the internet erupted with reactions when it was announced that ex-couple Tarek El Moussa and Christina Hall will co-star in a new HGTV show, 'The Flip Off.' This news has stirred up a considerable amount of controversy and mixed emotions among viewers.

On social media, many found the collaboration between the divorced couple awkward, particularly given that they will be appearing on the show alongside their current partners, Heather El Moussa and Joshua Hall. Critics accused Tarek and Christina of doing anything for money, suggesting that their decision to work together again was financially motivated rather than driven by genuine interest in the project.

Some voiced concerns about the potential impact of this new show on their children, Taylor and Brayden. They worried that having their parents work together on television again, despite their past difficulties, could potentially create confusion and emotional stress for the children.

A significant number of people have expressed doubts about whether they would even tune in to watch the show, especially following a recent Instagram video posted by Tarek El Moussa and Christina Hall that sparked controversy. In the video, Tarek is seen with his current wife, Heather El Moussa, alongside his ex-wife, Christina Hall. The internet quickly called out this video as a publicity stunt.

"Omg 🙄 So these people will literally do anything for money, huh?," said a user on Reddit. "My exact thought. It’s harder to sell their flips, so here they are," said another. "Stay together for the kids money," added another.

Another fan said, "I feel sorry for their kids. This is a train wreck waiting to happen." "I won't be watching it," said another. "I’ll watch but I have a hard time believing this concept will be healthy for them. It doesn’t seem like competing with each other is the best dynamic to set in motion," wrote another. "Did anyone ask for this show? 🤣" added another.

Why did HGTV stop airing ‘Flip or Flop’ starring Tarek El Moussa and Christina Hall?

'Flip or Flop' stopped airing in 2022 after 10 successful seasons on HGTV. The primary reason for the show's end was the persistent challenges stemming from Tarek El Moussa and Christina Hall's divorce in 2017.

Despite their professional success and ongoing collaboration on the show post-divorce, the personal challenges and complexities of working closely with an ex-spouse eventually rendered it unsustainable to continue. These issues ultimately led to the decision to conclude the series, providing both Tarek and Christina the opportunity to pursue new ventures and projects independently.
