'Can't believe I watched 45 mins of cast introductions': Internet slams 'Project Runway' Season 20 for 'too much filler and no challenge'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: After a year-and-a-half hiatus, 'Project Runway' finally returned for its 20th season. However, Bravo shows celebrated the 20th Season milestone while reuniting 14 standout cast members from 'Project Runway' previous seasons.
Christian Siriano, who himself won season four of the design competition beating Rami, will return as a mentor. Regular judges Nina Garcia, Brandon Maxwell, and Elaine Welteroth also returned to the latest season. Notably, the winner of the competition will get $250,000, a mentorship with the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America), and a feature in Elle magazine.

'Project Runway' Season 20 kicks off with introductions
'Project Runway' Season 20 started with lengthy introductions and flashbacks of all the contestants. Christian introduced the 14 returning designers to the viewers and for their first challenge, they have to reinvent the look that originally got them eliminated or got them their worst score in the competition. Later in the episode, the 14 contestants faced the designs that got them eliminated from the show in their former seasons. The contestants are crying that they're 'triggered' as they see the failed looks.
'I am not into these flashforwards'
'Project Runway' All Stars Season 20 viewers fumed over too many fillers, introductions, flashbacks, and previews. A social media user wrote on Reddit, "I can't believe I watched 45 mins of cast introductions/flashbacks and 15 mins of setting up a challenge. Jesus that was terrible TV."
Another viewer noted, "It was not good. Should have made it a two parter with re-introductions sprinkled through the episode. Introduce the challenge episode 1, end the episode with a twist, runway episode 2."
Another person said, "They're kinda spoiling the season showing who's sitting at the runway show. Also, Anna is really unlikeable." Another user added, "I didn’t love this as an episode. It should have been a pre-season special or a peacock feature or something. Way too much filler/ preview and no challenge!"
One Reddit user penned, "I am not into these flashforwards. What are we gaining from them? We’re already excited." Another critic stated, "The editing of this whole opening/intro segment is very bizarre."
