'I Am Shauna Rae' fans get emotional over Shauna's relationship with her grandfather

'Shauna opening up about her grandfather is giving us all the feels!!' posted a fan

For Shauna Rae of 'I Am Shauna Rae', she often finds it hard to have society treat her as an adult due to an eight-year-old's height and appearance. However, the 22-year-old doesn't let that stop her from living her life and is undoubtedly trying to find ways to be more independent and free. Shauna, who is a big fan of tattoos, decided it was time to grow her collection by dedicating one to her grandfather.

At the tattoo studio, Shauna seemed to bond with Joel MacDonald, her tattoo artist. Joel explained that people often treat him differently because of his larger height, size and tattoo, something Shauna could relate to. She explained that they are both opposite sides of the spectrum and understood what the other was going through. Fans were glad to see Joel and Shauna get along. 
"Joel's a cool dude. My guy understands. #IAmShaunaRae" tweeted a fan. "Well! That tattoo artist would love to hangout with you @iamshaunarae make it happen girlfriend! #IAmShaunaRae @TLC" added another. "Awesome personality! I would like to hang out with her too #IAmShaunaRae" said a fan. 

When it came down to her tattoo, Shauna explained that it was dedicated to her grandfather. She said that although he wasn't always around, they had a special bond, as he never made her feel different because of her height. To him, she was his granddaughter, and that is all that mattered. Fans got emotional hearing her speak about her relationship with him and what he meant to her. 
"Damnit I'm cryin at #IAmShaunaRae talking about why she wants a tattoo for her deceased grandfather because I went to get something for mine for like the same reasons, even though I didn't get to see him enough we always had this special connection. I miss him man" tweeted a fan. "Shauna opening up about her grandfather is giving us all the feels!! #IAmShaunaRae" added another. "My heart! I can understand how you and your grandpa had a good bond. My grandpa and I are the same way. He doesn't see my height. He seems ME. Nothing feels better than that  @iamshaunarae @TLC #IAmShaunaRae" noted a fan. "Oh, this makes me miss my grandpa so much. I know exactly how he made her feel. My grandpa was the best. #IAmShaunaRae" agreed another. "Thank you for bringing Shauna Rae to our lives. She's the dose of positivity everyone needed to remind them to be happy and satisfied with our lives. #IAmShaunaRae" tweeted a fan.
