TJ visited CBS Mornings to discuss 'The Challenge' Season 40 on MTV with the show's anchors. They debuted an exclusive 'Battle of the Eras' footage starring TJ and all 40 cast members gathered in their Eras teams at the beginning of the show, weeks ahead of the season premiere.
"For Season 40, the total prize pot is one million dollars!" TJ divulges this to the rivals of Eras, while they applaud the amount. When TJ revealed the first significant surprise of the season, those initially enthusiastic faces quickly became a mixture of worried and anxious glances.
"To even have a shot at that $1 million, you gotta make it through the Era Invitational," he declared, counting, "So, we’re gonna whittle out the weak links of each era."
