LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Kardashians' star Kylie Jenner expanded her horizon and introduced a new product in Kylie Cosmetics.
The reality star teased the imminent launch of her first fragrance, appropriately named Cosmic. Yet, it was the design of the scent bottle that stole more attention than the actual announcement of its release.
Kylie's Cosmic will be available to purchase on the official website of Kylie Cosmetics from Thursday, March 7.
In her announcement, the reality star discussed the design of the fragrance, revealing that she crafted the packaging with her birthday "embossed in Roman numbers and the bottle was shaped to fit in the palm of your hand."
Kylie's new fragrance line would also include, lotions, oils, and bath gels. The reality star turned to her Instagram and offered followers an up-close view of the fragrance bottle.
She teased in the caption, "From another world." She added, "Our sculptural bottle was formed to fit perfectly in the palm of your hand."
However, social media users criticized the fragrance bottle and questioned with one saying, "Why is it shapeless." Another person added in the comment section of the post, "Fit perfectly in my hand so I can use it as a defense weapon."
Another critic commented, "Looks like that petit I used to wear as a kid." "Lmao, It looks like someone asked her daughter to draw an oval. Giving 5 yr old art homework," wrote another.
Another Reddit user wrote, "'Formed to fit perfectly in the palm of your hand' Who holds a perfume bottle that dearly?" Another follower said, "It’s giving McDonald’s CosMc’s especially with the 'out of this world.'"
"The pink blob in the centre of the bottle looks like the outline of her current handsome squidward looking face 😂," another critic said.
Kylie Jenner introduces Cosmic after 'two years' of brainstorming
Kylie Jenner reflected on her upcoming fragrance line, Cosmic, and revealed the inspiration behind the launch. In the press release, the reality star disclosed that the fragrance was "so personal" and shared that it took approximately two years to bring it to fruition.
Kylie shared, "I wanted to create something that was truly unique to me in every aspect from the scent to the bottle and a fragrance that people have never smelled before but that feels immediately comforting and delicious."
The reality star elaborated, "We spent over two years working on this. I wanted it to be fresh yet sweet and to smell 'out-of-this-world,' and to feature some of my favorite notes including star jasmine and vanilla musk."
Kylie Jenner accused of 'copying' Kali Uchis' aesthetic in Cosmic ad
