LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Legendary actress Meg Bennett well-known for playing the role of Julia Martin in the soap opera 'The Young and the Restless' has died at the age of 75. She took her last breath on April 11, 2024.

Her obituary, published in the Los Angeles Times on April 21, focused on her work as an actress and writer for various daytime soap operas such as 'The Young and the Restless', 'General Hospital', and 'Santa Barbara.'

"Meg lost her battle with cancer. Until nearly the end she was devotedly working with children, writing and engaging with her far-flung family and friends," the obituary read.

For those who may not be familiar, Helen Bennett was born in October 1948 but adopted the stage name Meg after deciding to pursue an entertainment career. This decision was made to avoid confusion with another individual named Helen who was already established in Hollywood.

“She was a Vogue model who never made it as an actress, but she was on record as having that name at Screen Actors Guild. There couldn’t have been two of us. And Margaret Bennett is my mother’s name, so I became Meg," she told Daily TV.
