LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: CBS's decades-long soap opera, 'The Young and the Restless', celebrated its 50th anniversary in March 2023, with the show growing in strength every passing season. With innumerable plots and storylines engulfing the series throughout its run, it sometimes becomes difficult to keep track of the whereabouts of all the characters. Hence, the viewers are always eager to learn about who is returning or who is leaving the show.

In Season 50, the show came back with some character shakeups to keep the audience hooked. Over the years, some iconic characters have been retained such as Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper), and Jill Abbott (Jess Walton), who continue to battle in Genoa City. For 2023 so far, the show has decided to bid adieu to three characters - Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby), Jeremy Stark (James Hyde), and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan).

Cameron Kirsten

Linden Ashby reprised his role as Cameron Kirsten in May 2023. However, in 2003, Cameron was introduced via a meeting with Sharon in Denver. Despite the two sharing an initial mutual attraction, Cameron grew to be obsessed with her and became a deadly nemesis to the former Mrs Newman. But his story arc ended with him landing n prison on the show in 2004. But in 2023, Ashby returned as Cameron on the show, with the actor revealing that he was asked to make a comeback multiple times in the past, as per Soap Opera Digest. "Hey, man, let’s write him bad," he told executive producer Josh Griffith, adding, "I’m not looking for a redemptive story here. I’m not looking to turn over a new leaf. I’ve got a few scores to settle and business to take care of." However, it turns out that his brief return to the show was cut short as Cameron was stabbed by Sharon, killing him instantly. This means that Cameron’s arc is finally done, and the possibility of him returning to the show is next to impossible.

Jeremy Stark

Jeremy Stark, portrayed by James Hyde, arrived as a mischievous business associate of Diane to the show in 2022. He attempted to blackmail Diane, but thankfully for her, Jack and Kyle foiled his plans, which coincidentally got him arrested. Jeremy looked for revenge but was instead killed by Phyllis in self-defense. Fans bid goodbye to Jeremy, who seem to have been done with his time.

Amanda Sinclair

Played by Mishael Morgan, Amanda’s character is no longer a regular on the show. The actress announced in one of her Instagram stories that she has wrapped up shooting for the show once and for all. "I just wrapped for my last scenes back and I just wanted to let the cat out of the bag a little bit. I wanted to take a bit of a step back from the show," adding, "I just felt like at this point in my life and this point in my career, I wanted to mix things up a little bit." So, viewers will need to wait and see what's in the bag for the feisty lawyer.
