LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Is It Cake?' has its reality casting website where interested individuals can submit a video to participate in the show. The website highlights the popular internet trend of hyper-realistic cakes that look like everyday objects and invites viewers to test their skills in identifying whether an object is real or a cake on the show.

'Is It Cake?' draws inspiration from the viral internet meme of the same name, which gained traction on platforms such as YouTube and TikTok. This trend involves everyday objects or food items cleverly disguised as cakes, prompting viewers to discern between what is real and what is cake.

Mikey Day, the host of the show, was introduced to this trend by his manager Michael Goldman, and found it fascinating. Despite having no prior baking experience, Day took on the role of host, driven by the show's appeal.

How does the ‘Is It Cake?’ show work?

In every episode of 'Is It Cake?', talented bakers showcase their skills by creating cakes that closely resemble everyday objects, aiming to fool the celebrity judges with their hyper-realistic designs. The baker who successfully deceives the judges walks away with a prize of $5,000.

However, the excitement doesn't end there! After each episode, the winners are presented with an intriguing challenge: they must distinguish between bundles of real cash and cake replicas. If they successfully identify the genuine money, they get to keep it, adding to their winnings from the episode. Moreover, the winners of three episodes compete for a grand prize of $50,000 in the thrilling season finale.
