'House Of Payne' Season 9 is coming to an end with several loose threads. In the finale, Malik (Doc Shaw) and Lisa realize that their issues are much more deep-rooted than just television schedules. At the beginning of the season, Malik had come home from college and announced that he got his stripper girlfriend Lisa pregnant. His parents CJ (Allen Payne) and Janine (Demetria McKinney) were least pleased with this latest development, but made their peace with it.

However, they didn't show the same cool when Jazmine (China Anne McClaine) brought her boyfriend Kaleb home. In fact, Janine and Ella (Cassi Davis Patton) grilled her about her sex life, even though she was particularly uncomfortable talking about it. It didn't help the fact that Kaleb was a bit of a drug addict and was also trying to force her to have sex with him. Luckily, the family caught on in time and got rid of him.

In the upcoming episode, Ella realizes that Malik has imbibed Curtis's (LaVan Davis) habits when it comes to treating his partner. It seems as if Ella will hold her ground against Curtis. The synopsis for the upcoming episode reads: "Ella discovers that Malik and Lisa have deeper rooted issues. Malik imitates the way that Curtis treats Ella. Ella puts her foot down with Curtis."

Meanwhile, Calvin (Lance Gross) and Miranda's (Keshia Knight Pulliam) relationship remains a bit of a mystery. They married once and they had severe issues that involved being downright nasty with each other till Miranda finally ended their relationship and said that she wanted a divorce. This happened several years ago but Miranda now wants her husband back. Calvin is doing much better for himself than he did before and appears to have some purpose in life. And he doesn't want Miranda back. Calvin has moved on with Laura, though we haven't seen her for a while now. Miranda is trying to stage run-ins with Calvin with little or no success.

There are just a few episodes left for 'House Of Payne' and it remains to be seen how the plot threads will be wrapped up. The show airs on BET on Wednesdays at 8 pm.
