The vape pen has been the focus of the 'House Of Payne' for the last few episodes now. It all began in Episode 14 when CJ (Allen Payne) and Janine (Demetria McKinney) discovered a vape pen in Jazmine's (China Anne McClaine) pocket, while trying to plan for Ella's (Cassi Davis) birthday. Janine fears that Jazmine might be following in her footsteps.

For the unversed, Janine has had a long history of drug abuse. Ella's plans for her birthday were forgotten when she saw the vape pen, however — with her work at the help center, no one knows more than Ella just how harmful vape pens and marijuana's addictive properties can be to young teenagers. Yet, Ella might be getting addicted to the vape pen as well.

In the next episode, Jazmine brought her boyfriend Kaleb home, and it turns out that he is the owner of the vape pen. CJ and Janine are not pleased, and throw him out of the house, much to Jazmine's fury. They have a serious talk with her at the end of the episode and try to make her realise about the path she is headed on.

We haven't seen Jazmine lately, though we've seen a lot of the vape pen. Several plot threads need to be addressed: For starters, is Jazmine using the vape pen, and will she also have to go through what her mother went through?

Curtis has been using it and is tripping over it, and going by the next episode, Ella is going to try it as well. The synopsis for the next episode reads, "After taking a hit from a vape pen Curtis seems to think he is now an addict. Curtis and Ella have very different reactions to the vape pen. CJ wants to learn more about the vape pen."

Meanwhile, there still has been no word on Calvin (Lance Gross) and Miranda (Keshia Knight Pulliam) yet. The last we checked, Miranda saw Calvin and his new girlfriend kissing. Miranda had been wanting to give Calvin a second chance but he wasn't so eager for it.

'House Of Payne' airs on Wednesdays at 8 pm on BET.
