TLC's 'Hot and Heavy': All you need to know about the new reality show where mixed weight couples find love
Known for bringing out the best of reality shows, TLC is taking dating to another level, come New Year. The TV channel's new show 'Hot and Heavy' hopes to break the stigma around plus size women and their dating life. By introducing mixed-weight relationships, the new reality show is set to give viewers a glimpse as to what these couples have to face on a regular basis.

Plot
The show hopes to change people's ideas about mixed weight relationships. It will revolve around three couples whose journey will be followed throughout the show. The pairs will put out their personal life like an open book for the television and the viewers will geta a chance to see the obstacles that the couples have to face to prove that they actually have a real relationship and not a fetish.
Cast
Joy and Chris, who have been dating for three years, make up the first couple. Chris is adventurous and loves to take Joy on his adventurous. The pair plans to take its relationship to the next level but the family and friends of Chris are concerned that Joy would not be able to keep up with his life because of her weight.
The second pair is formed by Kristin and Rusty, who have been married for two years. The couple has decided to take the next step and have a baby. Unfortunately, Kristin's weight is a major obstacle for her to get pregnant. Doctors have suggested that she would have to undergo gastric bypass surgery but Rusty is not too keen on that.
The third couple is Adrianna and her boyfriend Ricardo. The pair have been going strong for two years but the constant jibes they get from society at large sometimes get to them. The show will focus on how the pair deals with this.
The couples are forced to prove their love to the world time and again as they battle their problems.
