The ability of TikTok to revive things we once believed were long gone is one of its coolest features. New trends consistently show up on TikTok, and the latest one is from the 2005 movie, 'Hoodwinked!'

TikTokers are using the clip of a singing goat to poke fun at some of the lies they've either told someone or been told. Even though 'Hoodwinked!' hasn't been on television for almost 20 years, Japeth the Goat's TikTok content is worth watching for its nostalgia and entertainment value.

'Hoodwinked!': A mystic musical comedy

'Hoodwinked!' is an animated musical comedy film with a tad bit of mystery that was released in 2005. The story is an adaptation of Little Red Riding Hood, in which she arrives at her grandmother's house to find the Big Bad Wolf dressed as her grandmother. It was one of the first movies to be entirely independently funded to achieve creative control. Little Red Riding Hood tells the police what happened and tells them about her encounter with a recipe-stealing goodie bandit and meeting with a singing goat named Japeth.

The wolf admits that he was in the house because he thought Little Red Riding Hood and her grandmother were burglars but that he is actually a reporter doing an investigation into the Goody Bandit. The Goody Bandit's identity is then the subject of an investigation.

What is the 'Hoodwinked!' TikTok  trend all about?

The TikTok trend is quite simple. All a person has to do is think of or find a situation where someone pretended not to say or do something. For instance, if your mother tells you that you can order a pizza on a particular day, but when that day comes, she acts as though she forgot.

Here are a few of the funniest ones we came across.

The trending scene

Little Red Riding Hood meets Japeth, the singing goat, while looking for Granny Puppet's house. While Japeth insists that his only method of communication is through singing, he has a slip-up where he accidentally talks normally. When Little Red Riding Hood points this out, Japeth infamously starts singing “Did I?” in an annoying fashion, which leads us to this current TikTok trend.
