Singer Go Tae Seob, mostly known by his stage name Holland, is one of the first openly gay idols in the K-pop industry. Even though same-sex marriages are illegal in South Korea, the singer has been receiving a lot of support from his international fans. Back in 2018, Holland made a tweet on his personal Twitter handle in which he revealed that he was single and did not have a boyfriend which is why fans asking him if he was seeing someone made him sad. Well, years have passed since that and things have changed for the better for the 26-year-old singer.

The singer rose to fame soon after his debut in 2018 when he released the music video for his single ‘I’m Not Afraid’ which became one of his best hits for representing people of color, LGBTQIA+ relationships, cross-cultural relationships as well as Drag Queens. Ever since that, Holland has been flourishing as the year 2022 marks his big acting break as he becomes the first openly gay actor to star in the BL drama ‘Ocean Like Me’ (aka Ocean Likes Me). Fans are now also cheering the singer on as he has finally found love in his life.

Who is Holland dating?

In a live stream on March 24, upon fans’ constant questioning, Holland revealed that he was seeing someone. The singer was asked if he had a boyfriend from multiple fans via chat during his live stream and he finally put an end to the question by stating, “So… I have a boyfriend.” During his live stream, he also revealed that his boyfriend was not someone who belonged to the industry and definitely was not an idol or actor.

Holland also went on to drop the clip where he revealed that he was in a relationship on his official Twitter account which had fans sending him the best of wishes. Protective fans of Holland also made it known that they had his back. Some fans said, “If he hurts you, he's gotta talk to me.” Many other fans congratulated the singer/actor for finally finding love despite homosexuality being frowned upon in South Korea.

Is Han Gi-chan dating Holland?

As soon as Holland posted the clip stating he had a boyfriend on his Twitter account, he asked fans to watch his upcoming BL drama 'Ocean Like Me'. After that, Holland also posted a couple of behind-the-scenes photos of his co-actor and the other male lead from the upcoming show Han Gi-chan. Since the singer made the tweets one after another, fans started asking if Holland was dating Han Gi-chan.

Other fans quickly shut down any hate revealing that Holland has actually confirmed he was not dating a celebrity but fans are now eager to see Holland's chemistry with Han Gi-chan. One fan said, "Just clearing out for people who said he was promoting on live. He mentioned his boyfriend is a non celebrity and is a common man. So these pictures have nothing to do with his relationship announcement. Ocean like me is gonna air soon so please support Holland and Gichan."

23-year-old actor Gi-chan is most well known for his appearance in the BL drama 'Where Your Eyes Linger', where he played Han Tae-joo, a rich boy that falls in love with his classmate that works as his bodyguard. Gi-chan will soon be seen sharing screen with Holland in 'Ocean Like Me', where Holland plays Tommy, a failed musician who meets Han Bada (played by Han Gi-chan) a young entrepreneur who dreams of starting an udon restaurant with a beach in the background.
