Recently Starz announced that their new TV series titled 'Hightown' has started production. Previously called P-Town,  the crime drama series revolves around the current opioid crisis in America. 

Though there is no information currently about when the series will air, here's everything you need to know about the upcoming series. 

Release date

The release date for Hightown has not yet been revealed, but it is expected to release sometime in 2020. 

Plot

Hightown revolves around Jackie Quinones (Monica Raymund), a party-loving lesbian who hails from Provincetown, Massachusetts. She is a federal Fishery Service Agent who seduces women using her gun and badge. Quinones continues to do her job just until she can draw a federal pension. But things start to change once she discovers a body in Cape Cod Bay which results in her being the center of the Cape's gruesome heroin epidemic.

Monica Raymund plays the role of Jackie Quinones on the forthcoming series. Raymund is known for her role as Maria "Ria" Torres in the Fox crime drama Lie to Me and Gabriela Dawson Casey in NBC's drama series Chicago Fire.
