Residents of a Las Vegas neighborhood, Kevin and Jammie, were looking to turn their house into a functional forever home on the latest episode of 'Property Brothers: Forever Home'. They are parents to four children, all of whom they adopted almost three years ago. The couple had purchased the house few years after moving to Vegas from Michigan, and even though it seemed good enough for the two of them back then, it no longer is a fit for the family of six now.

Kevin and Jammie had decided to adopt just two kids when they'd decided to grow their family, however, they lapped up the opportunity when DFS called them with an option for adopting three brothers. A couple of days later, they got another call apprising them of the fact that the brothers also have a sister who's with another family and they ended up adopting all four of them. Kevin and Jammie wanted to give their children everything that they could to make up for the tough start that they had been through at such a tender age. Their prime reason to renovate their house was so that their kids could feel that they belong there and they enlisted Jonathan (John) and Andrew (Drew) Scott aka the Property Brothers to help accomplish this dream.

Coming to the reno, Jonathan and Drew understood that the house that currently featured four bedrooms and 2.5 baths was a good size to begin with for all six members. A change in the flow of the house and some construction and a few refreshes here and there could bring functionality to the space, according to the Scott Brothers. Some of the issues, right of the bat were a very tight entrance to the house, and there was also a trip hazard right near the entrance that Kevin and Jammie had covered using different rugs that were not pleasant to look at. Their kitchen was not updated; they needed more storage in the kitchen as well as an island big enough that could fit their entire family. Kevin and Jammie had tried their best to make it work for all these years but they now wanted to change it all up for the sake of their kids and the Scott Brothers were more than happy going into this project.

The Scott Brothers also drew some inspiration from their own childhood during this renovation. They needed more space while growing up and they were putting in all efforts so that Kevin and Jammie's kids could have all that they needed in order to keep the peace when they become teenagers. They felt a lot of responsibility to get the house ready as this was the foundation for a family and there was no room for errors. The renovations took five weeks to complete and $110,000, $5,000 lesser than Kevin and Jammie's budget. The Scott Brothers totally overhauled the main floor and expanded the upstairs bedroom that was shared by Kevin and Jammie's sons. Their kitchen that was bottleneck before now looked much bigger. There weren't any major hiccups during this project, and it ended right within the budget.

'Property Brothers: Forever Home' airs Wednesdays at 9 pm ET on HGTV.
