MIAMI, FLORIDA: Following her split from Gerard Pique, Shakira has reportedly relocated to her luxurious Miami mansion worth $14.6 million. The Colombian pop star now joins an illustrious list of neighbors in the coveted Miami Beach waterfront enclave, including Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin, and Matt Damon.

Shakira has owned the six-bedroom property spanning 8,708 sqft since 2001 and personally oversaw its complete renovation, importing custom-designed furniture, hardwood floors from Spain, and a new front door from Europe. Shakira's emotional farewell to her life in Spain made headlines, as she was seen departing with her two sons Milan, aged 10, and Sasha, 7. Initially scheduled to leave on January 3, the move was postponed due to her father's health issues.

Shakira's stunning mansion was built in 1951

The lavish mansion purchased by Shakira in 2001 for around $2.7 million, was built in 1951 and put up for sale in 2018 for approximately $10 million. However, the sales listing was removed in August 2021, suggesting that the popstar has moved back in with her two sons after leaving Barcelona. Situated just a few minutes away from the renowned Venetian Islands and Indian Creek, Zillow has estimated the current value of the property to be $19.6 million. The gated estate is truly remarkable, featuring a breathtaking heated swimming pool and outdoor kitchen set amidst lush palm trees with stunning views of the bay. Formerly shared with her partner Pique, the property also boasts a private dock for boats, adding to its allure. Inside, the luxurious white minimalist decor creates an open and airy atmosphere, with a generously sized living room.

The property offers seven beautifully designed bathrooms, including one with two sinks and an enormous bathtub. The kitchen is both functional and visually appealing, offering an ideal space to cook and entertain while enjoying views of the garden. Shakira proudly displays her pop awards in the office area, while the entertainment wing at the back of the house provides a fantastic space to unwind.

Issues between the couple

The news of Shakira's departure from Spain has reportedly left her ex-partner, footballer Pique, feeling 'very annoyed' after being given just a few days' notice before making the move. According to journalists Lorena Vasquez and Laura Fa, Shakira's lawyer, Pilar Mane, informed Pique's lawyer of the decision before the singer herself phoned to confirm the news. Pique was apparently furious about being kept in the dark regarding the exact date of their departure. The journalists also revealed that the couple's two sons are set to start school in Florida on April 11, the same day that US school kids will return to classes after their spring break.

Shakira and Pique's relationship has been fraught since their high-profile split last summer. Pique soon revealed that he was dating 24-year-old Clara Chia Marti, and since then, their alleged infidelities have been widely reported. Despite their differences, the former couple confirmed in November that they had reached a child custody agreement following lengthy negotiations, culminating in a marathon 12-hour meeting with their lawyers. The agreement was signed at a court in Barcelona the following month, and it was agreed that Pique would spend holiday time with their children.
