In the past year, the DC extended universe has had some things to be happy about, especially with the Snyder Cut of ‘Justice League' coming to life. The film will see Zack Synder’s long-awaited version of the film, and will among other things, allow fans to once again enjoy Cavill's take on Clark Kent/Superman. With TNT Drama tweeting about it, fans got excited at the possibility of a sequel. One fan wrote on Twitter, “Man of Steel 2 with Brainiac or Lobo, book it WB/DC.”

At the moment, a sequel for Cavill's ‘Man of Steel’ has yet to be announced. Earlier this year, it was reported that Cavill will appear across multiple upcoming DC movies in a cameo or a supporting role. For the time being, it is pragmatic to assume that fans might never see a genuine follow-up to ‘Man of Steel’.
But that doesn’t mean they are losing hope. In hopes for a sequel, a fan wrote on Twitter, “Henry Cavill as Superman was lightning in a bottle. One of the best decisions ever made at Warner Bros. Let's unlock his massive potential. We just need another SUPERMAN film with him. The possibilities would be endless. #HenryCavillSuperman.”

Another fan wrote, “For years, Superman was called ‘unrelatable’ by the general audience. ‘Too perfect’. Man of Steel was the first time on screen that Superman was truly one of us. Raised as a human, complex, flawed, but with hope in his heart. That is the Superman we need. #HenryCavillSuperman.”

One fan wrote, “I honestly think Henry Cavill is the perfect Superman actor. His physique, looks, enthusiasm, subtlety and knowledge and love for the character are all things that make him born for that role. He's been great so far, I'd love to see what more he can bring. #HenryCavillSuperman.”

Another fan observed, “There’s no reason not to make a sequel to Man of Steel. The perfect cast has already been established. Get a screenwriter and filmmaker passionate about building on what we already have and let’s fly!#HenryCavillSuperman.”

DC fans have persevered with hopes in the past and it has paid off. The Synder Cut is proof of that. But this wasn't all that fans have been asking for. Earlier this year, in June, DC fans trended #BatFleck (a portmanteau of Batman and Affleck) on Twitter, expressing their love for the Snyder Batman. Thousands tweeted to AT&T about putting more BatFleck on HBO Max. For the time being, the only hope that remains for fans for seeing ether Cavill or Affleck right now depends on the success of the much-anticipated 'Snyder Cut'.
With any luck, HBO Max and Warner Media may want to produce a 'Man of Steel' sequel in the event of a roaring success.
