'Helstrom': 'Marvel's version of Constantine' has fans awestruck as they binge-watch the horror fantasy show
The siblings from Hell are here and they've done their best to prevent the demons from wreaking all havoc. Season 1 dropped on Hulu after a lengthy wait and fans have had a lot to say about Marvel's unusual move into horror. Adapted loosely from Marvel's comics, 'Helstrom' focuses on the Helstrom siblings, Daimon (Tom Austen) and Ana (Sydney Lemmon) who learn that their powerful and evil father has returned.
Trying to put their differences aside, while working through their childhood traumas, the two siblings spend the season trying to communicate with their mother Victoria (Elizabeth Marvel) who has been at the mercy of a demon named Kthara, while lying in a psychiatric ward. Fans are binge-watching the show, and at the moment, have only good things to say.
"Watched the first episode of #Helstrom. Looks amazing. Marvel’s version of Constantine, Hell yeah! Brb, going to binge the rest now," a fan wrote. "Watching @helstrom right now and oh my lord the first episode has impressed, shook and has me hooked. The supernatural elements are amazing, the acting of Elizabeth Marvel as Mother and @tomoaustentogether is insane and I love it Good shit #Helstrom," a fan tweeted.

Others discussed how different the two siblings were from each other. "It’s interesting that the way they introduce us to two of the main characters...it shows how they approach matters differently...however, I prefer the matter of factness is Daimon #HelstromOf course, he has that extra ability that allows him to asses a situation quickly," another wrote. Some got X-Files feel from the show. "Watching #Helstrom and am getting an early X-Files/Millennium vibe. It is almost like someone wanted to create a show with our expectations for exposition set decidedly in the 90s," one tweeted. "Watched the first episode of #Helstrom and it was very good. It only loosely follows the comics, but as TV adaptations go it does the job. I only hope the rest of the series is as good, this is my favorite #Marvel hero, so they better not muck it up," a fan tweeted.
