After teasing her fans with cryptic social media posts for almost a year, it now looks like Halsey has finally pulled up her socks to begin her new era. The Grammy-winning crooner has announced her fourth album with the title ‘If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power’. The brand new album is a follow-up to her third full-length project called ‘Manic’ which was released in January 2020.

'Manic', the critically acclaimed album, included hit singles like ‘Without Me’, ‘Graveyard’ and ‘You Should Be Sad’ among others, with guest vocals from musicians such as Dominic Fike, Alanis Morissette and Suga from the popular K-pop band BTS. How to live stream

Once released, fans will be able to enjoy Halsey’s new full-length record on leading streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Tidal, Deezer and YouTube.

Concept

The multiple award-winning songstress has not shared an official artwork of the album yet but she made sure the announcement of her new project is done on a large scale. She shared the news of her new album via a billboard in Los Angeles with the album title in faint white letters on a black background. The 26-year-old singer and songwriter posted about the same on her official Instagram account.

To spice up things, Halsey, who is currently expecting her first child with screenwriter Alev Aydin, also shared an audio snippet of an untitled track where she croons, “All of this is temporary.” She also revealed that ‘If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power’ is produced by Academy Award winner Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross of Nine Inch Nails. Reznor and Russ snagged the Best Original Score at the 2021 Academy Awards and the Golden Globes for their work on Pixar’s ‘Soul’. They also dropped two Nine Inch Nails instrumental albums in 2020 called ‘Ghosts V: Together’ and ‘Ghosts VI: Locusts’.
