'Grey's Anatomy' Season 17 Episode 4 Preview: After Derek, will George O' Malley visit Meredith in her limbo?
Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) is dying from Covid-19. While she would rather prefer to sleep and see her dead husband Derek (Patrick Dempsey) in her dreams, the doctors of Grey-Sloane memorial are trying their best to save her from slipping away. Meredith has survived a lot in 16 years, emotional trauma aside, she has escaped gunmen, survived a bomb blast, a plane crash and drowning. So, hopefully, Covid-19 should not be the kiss of death for her.
The promo of the next episode promises another visit from someone in her past. In her limbo, Meredith stumbles upon a house on the beach, and the question is, who does she find there? While most fans pray that it is Mark (Eric Dane) and Lexie (Chyler Leigh), others hope that is her old friend and colleague George O' Malley (TR Knight), as he died several seasons ago.
It would be a relief to see them, and not Meredith's mother Ellis Grey or her father Thatcher. Ellis has appeared in Meredith's flashbacks quite often. The synopsis for Episode 4 reads: "Owen faces a medical diagnosis that challenges more than he imagined; Koracick begins to go stir crazy; Maggie gets a not-so-subtle glimpse into Winston's background."
That's as tantalising as it gets because there's no mention of what is happening to Meredith. Meanwhile, Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) has ended his relationship with Teddy Altman (Kim Raver) after he found that she was cheating on him with Tom Koracick (Greg Germann). Tom is a broken man again because he believed that he had a chance of a lifetime with Teddy.
He told her in the previous episode that he "has had enough misery" for a lifetime. As it's 'Grey's Anatomy', you never know, Tom might suddenly be killed off. Maggie has found love in Winston but it remains to be seen whether they too meet the same fate as the other GA couples. Maggie has just been through the windmill with Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) and deserves better, here's hoping that she gets it!
'Grey's Anatomy' returns after a two week break on ABC on Thursdays at 9 pm.
