'Grey's Anatomy' Season 17 Episode 3: Izzy had sex with a ghost, upset fans wonder why Meredith can't hug Derek
There's much sobbing happening on Twitter right now because 'Grey's Anatomy' Season 17 is just not stopping with the emotional rollercoaster. After the return of Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey), the promo for next episode has promised another return... fans are praying that it is Mark (Eric Dane), Lexie (Chyler Leigh) or George (TR Knight).
Fans are more annoyed about the fact that Meredith and Derek are standing far apart on the beach (Meredith's limbo), and are wondering why the two can't even hug. They've made several references to Izzy, back in Season 5, when she was battling brain tumor. She had seen the ghost of Denny (Jeffrey Dean Morgan. She even managed to have sex with him, something fans still can't understand. So if Izzy could do so, why can't Meredith?

Fans are also wondering whether Meredith is seeing Derek, the way Izzy saw George in the elevator, as she is dying. There's a lot going to happen, and the surprises are not going to end anytime soon. Will Meredith die and reunite with Derek? That is what fans want because as much as they love her pairing with Andrew DeLuca, nothing can come close to her chemistry with Derek Shepherd or 'Mc Dreamy' as she used to call him. We got a lot of surprise mentions this episode, including Alex (Justin Chambers), as he is still Meredith's emergency contact, and they hoped that he would return to be with his best friend. They're also wondering why Cristina (Sandra Oh) is not back to take care of her best friend either.
