'Grey's Anatomy' Season 17 Episode 1: Will April return to Jackson? Fans demand 'Japril' after seeing baby Harriet
'Grey's Anatomy' is back folks, and is ready to make its fans cry. In the premiere of Season 8, we get to see a glimpse of Jackson (Jesse Williams) and April's (Sarah Drew) child, Harriet at long last, and she is still a toddler. Jackson and April seperated several seasons ago but fans can't help their adorable chemistry. Japril as they're called were considered one of the staple couples of 'Grey's Anatomy', and viewers have maintained that after April left, Jackson's character went a little downhill as he tried to get into several bland relationships, including Maggie (Kelly McCreary) and Vic from 'Station 19', both of which had an ending that fans weren't too sorry to see. Meanwhile, April got married in Season 14 and left the show.
Fans really hoped that April would return to the show. "I thought Jackson would open the door to April #GreysAnatomy," a fan tweeted. "I wouldn’t be mad at April coming back if it means Jackson gets an interesting story line again. I hate that they’re wasting him as a character. He has RANGE and I wanna see more of him. #GreysAnatomy," a fan said.

Others say that Jackson just needs to be single again. "Jackson just need to be single he’s gone through like 5 relationships after April #GreysAnatomy orrrr bring April back *cough cough," a fan wrote. "I miss April wish I could’ve watched her being a mom to Harriet with Jackson #greysanatomy," another wrote. Some don't think that April is good for Jackson. "I knew Jackson and the firefighter woman weren’t going to make it.. that felt like a forced relationship just to get him past Maggie which ALSO felt like a forced relationship after forcing April… come on Grey’s, get my man Jackson a good woman #GreysAnatomy," a fan tweeted.

In an interview to ET, Sarah Drew revealed that she hasn't ruled out the possibility of returning to the medical drama. "That's a hard question to answer because nobody has asked me to come back, so I can't answer that," she said of potentially making a Grey's appearance. "All I will say is that I love my family over there, so I would never say no to the possibility, but it has not presented itself." She said that had it been up to her, Jackson and April would have been endgame.
'Grey's Anatomy' airs on Thursdays at 9 pm on ABC.
