'Grey's Anatomy' Season 17 Episode 2: Amelia finally names her baby Derek, fans glad that she's finally happy
There was some good and bad news for 'Grey's Anatomy' fans in the Season 17 premiere. While Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) and Teddy Altman (Kim Raver) struggled with a dead relationship, Jo (Camilla Luddington) and Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) tried to have some sympathy sex, which failed miserably, and Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr) and Catherine Fox (Debbie Allen) reunited after being continuously petty with each other. Meredith collapsed at the end of the episode, and we're led to believe that she just might be dying... because she saw Derek (Patrick Dempsey), something we never thought would happen.
But that aside, the sweet part of the episode came when we finally got to know the name of Amelia's baby... it's Scout Derek Lincoln Shepherd. She named him after her brother, something the fans have been screaming for since the Season 16 finale. For those who followed Amelia's backstory in 'Private Practice', would be thrilled to see her finally have some happiness in her life, after suffering so much. She's with Link (Chris Carmack) at the moment, and touchwood, they seem blissful. Let's see how long that lasts, because this is 'Grey's Anatomy'.
