'Grey's Anatomy' Season 16: Fans love how gay couple Nico and Schmitt support each other and want to see more of them
The longest-running medical drama 'Grey's Anatomy' has a gay couple and their romance seems to be making much noise online. In the third episode titled 'Reunion', the couple Levi Schmitt (Jake Borelli) and Nico Lang were finally seen sharing a moment together.
In one sequence, Andrew DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti) operates on a patient with Schmitt when he loses a guidewire in his body. DeLuca saves the day and even takes he blame when Bailey comes to know about the big miss. Later, however, DeLuca gives Schmitt a piece of his mind by asking him to practice holding a wire. "You almost took the life of a patient because you could not hold on to it. So take it and hold it."
After the mess-up, Nico comes to Schmitt's support and tells him to "demand more" from himself by practicing how to thread a guidewire a hundred times in the skills lab. What's more, he even offers to stay by his side and order pizza. The winning line is when Schmitt asks Nico, "What kind of boyfriend are you?" and he answers, "The kind who doesn't want to date someone who can't do a central line."
Fans can't stop going gaga over their tough love. "Why are Nico and Schmitt my favourite couple from Grey's anatomy, there just sooo adorable!" one fan wrote and another one posted, "The Nico and Levi team up in Grey’s Anatomy makes me want to watch the season 1-14?!"

Some of them were left wondering where the storyline will take their love. "Idk what’s going to happen with Schmitt and Nico but .... they’re cute #GreysAnatomy," one fan wrote. Others were wondering more about their romantic chemistry. "I wonder if he Nico talks sexy in Korean to Schmitt like DeLuca does in Italian to Meredith," one tweet read.
Another fan said, "Nico is such a supporting bf to Schmitt & helps by motivating him to do better in-hospital procedures instead of letting Schmitt quit. No one should feel like a failure. #GreysAnatomy." One tweet read, "I’m happy to see Nico getting his own story line but I would like to see Nico and Schmitt!! #GreysAnatomy."
As the fourth episode titled 'It's Rainin' Men' rolls out on Thursday, October 17, it will be interesting to see where Schmico's love leads them.
