'Grey's Anatomy' decided to twist the knife in the previous episode. Everyone's favorite father-figure Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr) had a stroke while giving a presentation on stage at a conference and was rushed to the hospital. Going by the promo of the upcoming episode, all the doctors will team up to save one of their own. With only two episodes to go, 'Grey's Anatomy' has a lot to wrap up.

Season 16 was initially meant to have four more episodes. However, due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the season was shortened. Showrunner Krista Vernoff wrote on Twitter that the season had 'received a satisfying' finale.

It has been a difficult season for Atticus "Link" Lincoln (Chris Carmack) and Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone) as there was a hint of a doubt that the father of Amelia's baby might just be Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) and not Link. This caused friction between the two. However, they reconciled. Meanwhile, Owen's relationship with Teddy Altman (Kim Raver), took a hit as out of insecurity, she went and had an affair with Tom Koracick. While Teddy seems to be drowning in guilt, it's not sure whether she will finally go through the wedding with Owen. Will Owen find out about her affair finally?

Meredith Grey's  (Ellen Pompeo) relationship with Andrew DeLuca seems to have come to an end, as he's drifted off to an unknown place. It's quite that she finds love with Hayes, who has been eyeing her for quite some time.

The official synopsis of Episode 21 reads: "Link tries to convince Amelia to take it easy during the final stage of her pregnancy; Hayes asks Meredith a surprising question; Owen makes a shocking discovery." The episode will air on April 9. Clearly, there will be fireworks.

Fans have been worried whether Richard Webber will die, as characters on the show are known to not have a very graceful exit, case in point Alex Karev (Justin Chambers). Karev left Jo (Camilla Luddington) for a life with Izzie Stevens (Katherine Heigl) on a farm.

'Grey's Anatomy' airs on Thursdays at 9 pm on ABC.
