'Greenleaf' Season 5 Episode 6: Is Darius dead? Fans say they 'felt it coming' and even have a possible killer
The ending of the latest episode of 'Greenleaf' got too intense too soon. From The Bishop chastising Lady Mae for talking about having an affair from her high horse, her spilling to the entire family about that affair and Grace's actual father, and that phone call that begins a whole other spiral in the final moments — 'The Sixth Day' was pretty loaded and fans believe "The devil is too busy on this show." The final moments saw Darius missing, presumed dead by the fandom, and they believe 'creep that gave Kerissa chlamydia' is responsible.
After a full episode of digging dirt on Bob Whitmore, Darius and Grace were finally able to learn his secret. Bob used to scam less privileged Black people in the past by lending them money for second mortgages and eventually taking the houses when they weren't able to make balloon payments. This had prompted Darius to ask Grace to look for some photos on her system, but the photos literally vanished from her computer in front of her very own eyes.
At the very end of the day, Darius gives Grave a call asking her to come over as one of Bob's victims was ready to speak up against him. Sadly, when Grace goes over, she can neither find Darius and nor is he answering his phone. Instead, a very creepy Fernando — the man Kerissa had an affair with — was waiting for Grace, offering to drive her where Darius is. Like any sensible person would, Grace refuses to accompany Fernando, causing him to threaten her how "no one cares anymore about journalists. Stay out of it." This has led a lot of fans to believe that Daris perhaps really is dead. The dots connect too fast and too steadily to ignore the hints.
Taking it to Twitter, a fan wrote: "Not Darius. The devil is too busy on this show. This turning into Pretty Little Liars." Another demanded: "Bob ol' spoiled white milk a** had Darius taken out because the truth was close to being uncovered!? This secret better be good!!" When it comes to what happened to Darius, several fans believe "I don’t know how to spell his name, but that guy who gave Karissa Chlamydia, he done killed Darius." Others poured in with how they always knew something bad was going to happen to Darius. He was getting too close to the endgame. "Darius done told GiGi he’s ready to talk about the future and now somebody is messing with him?! Oh clawd hammercy! I felt that. I knew something was gone happen to him," tweeted one.
For other fans, Darius is beyond dead right now. "I’m going to do Darius’s funeral nxt week," tweeted a fan. "I’ve always done all funerals for OWN TV Play Actors/Actresses. Whether they were or goodSo Darius deserves a Kings funeral. I’m not charging. The Twitter sphere is upset but we felt it coming tbh."
