Kanye West’s fans furious over rapper not winning Best Rap Album: ‘Grammy got it wrong’
Despite getting banned from the 64th edition of the Grammys and also missing this year’s award ceremony, hip-hop legend Kanye West walked away with two Grammy trophies. The 44-year-old rapper won Best Melodic Rap Performance for his single ‘Hurricane’ featuring The Weeknd and Lil Baby along with Best Rap Song for ‘Jail’ featuring Jay-Z. Both the songs are from his 10th studio album ‘Donda’.
Fans of Kanye West, however, were not pleased with his two wins out of the five nominations he scored this year. They logged into Twitter to vent their anger, especially for Ye getting snubbed in the Best Rap Album category. It was Tyler, The Creator who happily bagged the same for his critically and commercially acclaimed album ‘Call Me If You Get Lost’. Tyler, beat the likes of J Cole for ‘The Off-Season’, Drake for ‘Certified Lover Boy’, Nas for ‘King’s Disease II’, and Kanye West for ‘Donda’. Tyler had won Best Rap Album for ‘IGOR’ at the 62nd Grammys for the first time.

Kanye West was supposed to perform this year at the Grammys but he got pulled up apparently for his recent online behavior. It is believed that his online rant against his former wife Kim Kardashian and a racist argument with 64th Grammys host Trevor Noah might be the reason behind it. The award-winning rapper took multiple digs at Kim in the last few months concerned with his kids, and Kim’s new lover Pete Davidson.
‘Donda is the best rap album but Grammy's always got it wrong’
Taking to Twitter, fans of Kanye West got furious as one said, “Tyler s**t wouldn’t have existed without Griselda. Kanye made a clean gospel rap album and it was fire.” Another stated, “Tyler the creator dominated but I think Kanye West deserved it #GRAMMYs” Whereas, one shared, “Tyler the Creator didn’t deserve the Grammy it wasn’t even a top 3 nominated album. But it’s the Grammys I’m not surprised they made the wrong choice.” The next one shared, “Tyler the creator won a Grammy for rap album of the year over Nas, Drake, Kanye West, and J.Cole. That dosent make sense lol. All four mentioned are legends in they own right. But Tyler the Creator? Hip Hop is dead.” And, one concluded, “Donda is the best rap album but Grammy's always got it wrong.”
