Tyler, the Creator has done it again! The 31-year-old rapper won the Best Rap Album award for 'Call Me If You Get Lost' at the 2022 Grammys, beating J. Cole, Drake, Nas, and Kanye West

Taking place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, the prestigious award ceremony was pushed back from January to April due to the pandemic. Though Tyler couldn't make it in person, he shared his acceptance message via an Instagram story, starting off by thanking DJ Drama. Saying that Drama "is so important to rap music," Tyler went on to thank his friends and his team for helping him make an album where he "can flex all day." Tyler ended the story saying "12 years in. Got a second one. Didn't expect it. So let's see what the f**k is next." He was also nominated for Best Melodic Rap Performance for 'WusYaName,' but that ultimately ended up going to Kanye West for 'Hurricane.'

A rebuttal was fired almost instantly as a fan shared "People hating on Tyler like that album wasn’t grammy worthy. Please! Well deserved. #Tylerthecreator #GRAMMYs" while another called for peace tweeting "Why are ppl beefing about CMIYGL & Donda. I think CMIYGL deserved to win over Donda, was Donda bad? No. Just that CMIYGL had 0 misses & Donda had a few odd tracks. Both were albums, stop beefing and appreciate music. #KanyeWest #GRAMMYs #Grammy #Tylerthecreator #GrammyAwards".
