#Scammys trend after BTS Grammy snub, fans say 'Win no matter what'

Will fans ever have faith in the show now that BTS has been snubbed out of a Grammy award for the second time in a row

All eyes were on BTS as they were hopefully set to win their first-ever Grammy award at the 2022 show but Doja Cat and SZA stole the show as the duo bagged a win for ‘Kiss Me More’ taking home the Best Duo/Group award. Fans of BTS are disappointed but not surprised as they had already made terms with the fact that Grammy Awards are not something that determines the success of BTS. The South Korean boy group has been doing really well internationally and is credited for bringing K-pop on the global map. With the boy group not taking an award home this time too, fans are claiming that they have still won, no matter what.

BTS was nominated for their hit 2021 single, ‘Butter’ at the 2022 Grammys and despite the fact that the Recording Academy failed to give BTS an award, the single has still been doing well on the charts globally. The members of the boy group are soon going to show Las Vegas the power of BTS as they are set to perform their four-day sold-out concert, ‘Permission to Dance on Stage’. Despite the snub, fans of BTS are also saying that BTS does not need a Grammy but the show needs BTS if they wish to continue to stay relevant.

BTS snubbed out of a Grammy again

This is the second year in a row that BTS members were snubbed of an award and even though fans are sad for the boys, ARMYs, just like many other fandoms have had a sour experience with the show. Last year, BTS did not take a win for their 2020 all-English single, ‘Dynamite’ and as Grammy history repeats itself, the boy group has failed to secure a win at the show a second year in a row. ARMYs who did not expect much from the show are talking about how BTS really is the most deserving music act and have been snubbed at the show another time.

Fans of BTS are pointing out that the Academy needs to do better as they are nominating groups and collaborations in the same category and BTS had lost to another collaboration for the second year in a row. Back in 2021, Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande win Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for ‘Rain On Me’ which was a collaboration just like the 2022 winners, Doja Cat and SZA for ‘Kiss Me More’ which goes on to prove that the Recording Academy needs to do better on their end.

‘Win no matter what’

Actor and Billboard Host, Tetris Kelly tweeted about the Grammys 2022 snub saying, “SERIOUSLY?!?! 2 YEARS?! The biggest pop songs?! Love these girls, but C’MON!!! This was for our boys. I’m GUTTED!!!” Fans too expressed their disbelief as one fan said, “The failure isn't on the guys. The failure is on the Recording Academy for not having 2 separate categories for (1) Group/Duo and (2) Collaboration.” One fan said, "Disappointed, but not surprised. Scammys don't deserve BTS."

One polite fan said, "Army s do not to be rude to grammys no matter what happens we still win!! thankyou." One fan said, "THANK YOU BTS. WIN NO MATTER WHAT." Another fan said, "WIN NO MATTER WHAT I'm so proud of you BTS. Army will always proud to be with you." One fan said, "BRO IM SO F**KING MAD THAT BTS DIDN'T GET THAT GRAMMY. I still love doja and sza tho but i still think bts deserved that grammy. They worked so hard and yet they were played by the grammys again. F**k the grammys bro."

One fan said, "No because everyone will leave the Grammys only to see Vegas colored in purple and BTS billboards everywhere they look proudly announcing their 4 sold out shows at Allegiant Stadium." Another fan replied, "F**k the scammy award they literally owned the whole LV and u mfs wait n see ur place turning into BTS purple world." One fan asked, "Why is the grammy's giving the best pop duo award to collaborations rather than actual groups? Anyways congrats to the winners and congrats to BTS for being nominated TWICE!" Another fan said, "Bts are globally dominating. Broken numerous records. Beetle records, t.Swift records. They deserved to be in more categories than just pop/duo. And doja recently had an internet tantrum abt wanting nothing to do with music anymore. BTS were robbed of an award…" Another said, "WIN NO MATTER WHAT, FCK YOU GRAMMYS!@##$%&".
